The Department is currently inviting applications for M.Phil. in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in Mathematics. The M.Phil. program is available in Evening and Weekend sessions, while the Ph.D. program is offered as a Regular program.
The Department provides research opportunities in several modern and emerging fields, including Biomathematics, Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics, Optimization, Dynamical Systems, Numerical Analysis, Functional Analysis, Mathematical Modeling, Statistics and Data Science, and Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence. These research areas address real-world challenges in engineering, science, technology, healthcare, and industry.
To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 for the M.Phil. program and 3.00 out of 4.00 for the Ph.D. program.
Admission is based on a transparent merit system consisting of 40% academic record, 40% admission test, and 20% interview. The admission test includes 80% core mathematics and 20% general knowledge.
