On 6 May 2026, the Department of Mathematics, UET Lahore, successfully organized the seminar “NEH in Action: Efficient Scheduling Strategies.” The event was graciously hosted by Prof. Dr. Asma Rashid Butt, Chairperson, Department of Mathematics, UET Lahore, whose leadership and support contributed to its success. The seminar featured Muhammad Nawaz, a distinguished Pakistani Industrial Engineer and proud UET alumnus, who presented the renowned Nawaz–Enscore–Ham (NEH) heuristic and its applications in the flow-shop scheduling problem (PFSP) and operations research. The session provided valuable insights into efficient scheduling techniques and fostered meaningful academic engagement among faculty members, researchers, and students.
